On this drive, I would take you through a lovely Arts & Scenic route through small villages and some of Bali’s spectacular rice terraces. We would also take time to visit the awe-inspiring Mount Batur, well-know for the magnificent view of its giant caldera and Lake Batur.
The day will begin with pick-up at your hotel and a quick drive to Batubulan village, where we will see the traditional Balinese barong dance around 09.30 – 10.30. Batubulan is also the center for stone carving, and you will have a chance to do some shopping if you wish. As we drive towards Kintamani, other villages we will visit are: Celuk – famous for its gold- and silversmiths; Batuan – to see Balinese house architectural style and the homes of artists and painters; and Masa center for the art of wood carving. We will arrive at Kintamani at lunchtime. You could take your lunch sitting at a restaurant on the edge of the giant caldera, taking in the best panorama of Bali.
Lunch is not included in the tour price, but you may select the restaurant of yourchoice.
On our return trip, you have your choice of activities: We will stop at several more villages, including the traditional village of
Pengelipuran, with its lovely bamboo forest, and then visit Kehen Temple in the town of Bangli. From there we will go to see the stunning rice-terrace views from the Bukit Jati temple, and then head back to your hotel.

We will visit the Gunung Kawi temple, the Tegalalang rice terrace, Petulu village and its famous herons, and then continue back to your hotel.
I will drive you on a beautiful, long drive to enjoy the island’s rich greenery, where all the hidden beauty of Bali can be found, and end the day at sunset at Tanah Lot.
Departing the hotel at 09.00, Taman Ayun temple will be our first stop. We will then drive along the mountain road to Bedugul, to see either the Botanical Garden or Ulun Danu temple at Lake Beratan. If you wish, you could take your lunch at the restaurant in Pacung village, with its beautiful view of rice terraces and mountains.
Then, on the way to Jatiluwih village, we will drive through some of Bali’s best rice terraces, with their traditional irrigation systems. From there, it will take from one to one-and-a-half hours to coast over to Tanah Lot temple. For the absolutely best and most beautiful view, we will be there to watch the sun set into the Indian Ocean. Sunset is at about 18.00 to 18.15, year round.
You will see traditional Balinese “Ikat” tie-dye fabric being produced at a weaving factory in Gianyar and visit the intriguing Kerta Gosa Court of Justice of Klungkung. We then drive to the village of Tabola, with its very nice views of the rice terraces and Mount Agung. From there we go to Tirta Gangga, the royal bathing pools at Karangasem, and on to Tenganan, an isolated Bali Aga village.
